Breakfast weekend is coming, breakfast weekend is coming!!!
The same fabulous people that bring you Restaurant Week twice a year have listened to the masses and are debuting Arizona Breakfast Weekend April 30th to May 3rd.
Often lauded as the most important meal of the day, Valley chefs and restauranteurs are uniting for this new event. You’ll be able to enjoy special dishes at breakfast and brunch spots offered at $6, $12 and $25 price points. Check out all the participating restaurants at www.arizonabreakfastweekend.com
Here’s a breakdown of the price points (each restaurant will pick one to feature):
- The Breakfast Bundle will include an over-the-top bundle of breakfast favorites for $6.
- The Brunch Lite will include a mini-brunch style menu and Bloody Mary or Mimosa at most locations for $12.
- Brunch will be a traditional resort-style brunch offering with all the bells and culinary whistles for $25.
We were able to get a sneak peek of what Perk Eatery Co-Owner Pauline Martinez will be offering at their restaurant. It’s a brand new dish, it’s full of flavor and in all truth, I inhaled it! The Chimichurri Hash and Eggs has sweet potato, Yukon gold potatoes with spring peas, garlic, onion hash topped with two eggs (poached was perfect), crumbled feta, chipotle crema and fresh chimichurri sauce. I loved the freshness of the sweet potatoes and peas with the salty feta and then breaking those beautiful yolks into the chipotle crema sauce and mixing it all together equaled pure satisfaction!
