Hey guys, have you heard? The 6th annual statewide Arizona Beer Week celebration is happening February 11th to the 20th and there are more than 150 participating breweries, restaurants and craft beer retailers giving you opportunities for beer-centric celebrations.
To get the party started, I’ll be hosting a FREE VIP preview event at OHSO Brewery in Arcadia! The event is limited to 50 of my foodie friends (that’s you) and I’d love to hang out with a bunch of you, enjoy some small bites and flatbreads, while we try out 4 or 5 OHSO beer samples and discuss which beer events we’ll be enjoying next week. I’ll also be giving away tickets to the Strong Beer Festival during the Preview Event. So come on down to OHSO Brewery in Arcadia next Thursday Feb. 6th from 6-8pm for bites, beers and this beezy! You must have a ticket since space is limited so hurry up and grab one before they’re gone here: http://beerweekvipevent.eventbrite.com Psssst did I mention it’s free?!
Haven’t heard about Arizona Beer Week before? Here’s a few things you should know:
As always, Arizona Beer Week spans the state in its entirety, with events planned across Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and virtually every nook and cranny in between. Highlights include a Beer and Chocolate Pairing at Flagstaff’s Lumberyard Brewing Company, a “Parti Gras” celebration in honor of The Perch’s second anniversary in Chandler, the 7th annual Valentine’s Day Cruiser Ride starting at Scottsdale’s TT’s Roadhouse and a Spelling Bee(r) at Tucson’s Tap and Bottle.
New events and participants are added to the lineup each day, so follow along at ArizonaBeerWeek.com to stay current on upcoming craft beer festivities. Also, this year will also welcome back the Crescent Crown VIP wristband, which gives wearers special access to drink discounts, brewery swag and even a complimentary brew or two at events throughout the state. To score yours ,visit arizonabeerweek.com for details.
I’ll be giving away tickets to the Strong Beer Festival, which has long been known as a great place to score rare, limited release or especially strong brews, but this year’s event will offer an additional draw: elevated food options compliments of M Catering, the award-winning catering company headlined by renowned Valley Chef Michael DeMaria.
While past Arizona Strong Beer Festivals focused primarily on beer, with snacks taking a somewhat secondary role, this year’s event promises an array of inventive food options that pair perfectly with many of the beers available on tap. It’s all part of the official Food Emporium, where guests are invited to sample snacks such as Waffle-Fried Chicken on a Stick, Kobe Beef Hot Dogs or a Mac ‘N Cheese Bourbon Beef Bowl, among other options, while sipping on their choice of more than 400 specialty craft brews from breweries across Arizona and beyond.
