Arizona Foodie Pop-Up Demo Featuring Chef Stephen Jones and sponsored by Minibar Delivery. On Feb. 27th, Chef Jones from Desoto Central Market will be teaching you the ins and outs of preparing a spectacular meal using fresh seafood. You’ll also get the opportunity to see how the newest liquor delivery service works, as Minibar Delivery will be sponsoring this event and providing the drinks for it. They will also be providing some swag for our guests and a special gift code for your first use.
Chef Stephen Jones has a colorful background in restaurant experience from working at Watergrill, Table 8 in Downtown L.A to Nobu in Las Vegas where he was Master Cook and later Sous Chef to being Executive Sous Chef of MK Chicago. Currently he has three restaurants inside of Desoto Central Market. His southern inspired restaurant, The Larder + The Delta, Burger Spot, DCM Burger and seafood concept, Walrus and The Pearl.
Available on web, iOS and Android, Minibar provides consumers with the best way to shop for wine, beer, spirits, and more, by connecting users with a local liquor store for fast and convenient delivery. The platform provides tasting notes, pairing recommendations, cocktail recipes, gift delivery, and is the only provider to offer a subscription service. The “Auto Refill” option, which launched late last year, allows users to arrange for items within an order to be delivered at a selected interval of 1,2,3, or 4 weeks. What to expect at one of Arizona Foodie’s pop-ups?
You’ll be greeted by Diana and the featured Chef and you’ll enjoy small bites and drinks while we mingle and wait for everyone to arrive. After about 30 minutes of mingling, we’ll be seated at the kitchen to watch the Chef begin cooking up the meal. We love having you guys help out the Chef, you might be mixing up some sauce, kneading some pasta dough or whipping some eggs but we want you to interact and ask questions as much as you please! As all the amazing smells fill your nostrils and tempt your belly, he’ll share his stories and his secrets on how to create the perfect seafood meal. This part of the event lasts about an hour to an hour and a half (it flies by!)
After the demo is finished and all your questions have been answered, we will move to the dining room to sample the dishes prepared in class. The last two events sold out in the first day and there are only 20 spots available for the dinner. Tickets are $65 and are non-refundable. If you have allergies or other food restrictions, we feel this might not be a good fit because we can’t accomodate for these restrictions. What the Chef cooks is what we serve. Food to be served after class will be prepared in a kitchen that is not regulated or inspected by the Arizona Department of Health Services or by the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department.
