The past week or so has been crazy full of events, specifically all the Devoured fun we had and it’s such a relief to have not much to do this week. Most of these dishes are from restaurants but a few are from events I attended but I still wanted to share. So here’s where you could have spotted me eating and my favorite dishes.
The last pop-up dinner I did with Chef Stephen Jones produced an array of delightful dishes but their is just something about mussels that I can’t seem to get enough of. So here are the Santa Barbara mussels Chef prepared for the 20 of us. Don’t know about Arizona Foodie Pop-ups or want to attend the next one? Bahn Mi Bistro is one of my go to spots a little farther from home but it draws me in when I’m craving that rice noodle bowl. They never do me wrong and although I can never seem to sway from ordering the same thing, I have tried their other menu items and they are worthy of eating as well. I’m just a creature of habit when I find that one thing, you know.
Clever Koi is another one of my go to spots, as you can probably tell and for lunch. Don’t worry, I ordered my usual but I decided to give these steamed buns. On the left we have the pork belly and on the right is the chicken and waffle.
Gadzooks! Man was this place packed for lunch but the line goes quickly and the food, in my opinion, is worth it. I got the pork shoulder and braised short ribs this time around with all the fixins or most of them.
My first time at The Market by Jennifer and I’m pretty sure we ate everything on the menu but I wanted to spotlight this dessert because it left the whole meal on such a high note.
