Last night was quite filling and my tummy was beyond happy. Arizona Restaurant Week is coming up on September 19-28th and you have an abundance of fabulous restaurants to choose from. Here are three suggestions that we were previewed and feasted on.Sumomaya was our first stop of the night and we indulged in pomegranate guacamole, hamachi Tiradito with yuzu, truffle oil, green apple, micro shiso, red radish and ikura. Our second course was the bacon wrapped medjool dates stuffed with chorizo and queso chihuahua in a foie gras sauce and we finished with the creamy rock shrimp tempura. I would pick a favorite but honestly I was impressed with each dish, they all blew my min. The flavor profiles were off the charts! After taking a short ride on the Ollie Trolley, we stopped at Paul Martin’s American Grill for our hearty main courses. We started the experience with a charcuterie board and then headed straight into the dishes. We sampled the short rib that fell apart when you cut it paired with mashed potatoes, which was my favorite, a beautiful salmon with a quinoa salad and the perfectly crisped chicken.Oh dessert, you made my night. Roka Akor ended the night off right. They placed in front of each of us the most gorgeous and decadent dessert presentation. A warm toffee cake oozing with chocolate and topped with peanuts and peanut butter ice cream. It’s almost like they knew those are my two favorite things in the world. Let’s not forget that they are also serving dinner at Roka Akor and we got a glimpse of those items as well. They’ll be serving up prime beef dumplings, kale Caesar salad, skirt steak and Saigon chicken breast, to name a few.
