Someone recently estimated that the average American eats 23 pounds of pizza a year, so I have complied a list of 11 places to grab a slice to celebrate the last few days of pizza month:
You may have seen these guys on Guy Fieri and they’re right in your backyard. So have them throw a Mediterranean in that brick oven and enjoy the house made Pesto Cream Sauce, House Made Mozarella, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Prosciutto di Parma (Crudo) and Arugula w/ Shaved Parmesean.
Kick it up a notch with the spicy bbq chicken pizza: roasted all natural, free-range chicken, house made barbecue sauce, provolone, cilantro, grilled scallion and serrano chiles.
Ahhh, the Pomo with a little tomato sauce, some mozz, Italian sausage, red bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, basil and evoo.
There is something so beautiful about the simple and pure flavors, it is anything but simple tasting. The Margherita with tomato sauce, fresh mozz and basil, yes!
May we suggest the brussels sprout? With roasted brussels sprouts, machego, pancetta, roasted garlic and lemon zest. I can’t resist the brussels sprouts.
Wood fired pizza and tons of craft beer, check out their FICO with fresh mozzarella, buratta, parmigiano reggiano, truffle oil, arugula and fig sauce.
That avocado pizza though, with tomato, basil and lemon zest and let’s throw on some prosciutto too!
I have a lot of places to visit this month in celebration – its only natural. Where is your favorite place to celebrate the love of pizza?
Gimme the cheese and throw some meatballs on it, will ya!
Maybe you’ve heard of them, maybe you haven’t but we’re all about that Snow White an original with them for over 30 years. It’s got extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil topped with a combination
of cheeses, fresh minced garlic, and vine-ripened tomatoes (no tomato sauce).
Authenic Chicago style pizza so order that classic combo or maybe opt for a stuffed pizza.
Your typical grubbing pizza, we’ll have the mega meat, pile it on high and mighty!
