Nights in Old Town Scottsdale are known for its lively bar and club scene. But when night becomes day, it’s the bottomless mimosa brunches that take over and Bevvy is crashing the party with their new brunch menu! Bevvy is an upscale gastropub with dozens of screens for your sports-viewing pleasure and games like SkeeBall, Shuffleboard and Giant Jenga to keep you and your friends entertained while sipping on drinks and noshing on pub fare. This high-energy pub launched their new brunch menu in early July and I had the pleasure of trying some of their most popular entrees.
To get the taste buds tingling, you can start off with some bubbly. On Saturdays and Sundays, bottomless mimosas and bloody mary’s are offered for $25 or $15 with the purchase of an entrée. As a bonus on Sundays, you can order a personal full-sized bottle of either prosecco or rosé for only $15 and there is a Build-Your-Own-Sangria Bar.
The food menu had so many delicious-sounding items, it was really difficult for me to figure what I wanted to try. But with help from our lovely server, we were steered in the right direction. The Avocado Toast was recommended by the kitchen as one of their newest menu items and you can’t go wrong.
For breakfast burrito fans, the Brekkie Burro has everything you would want for a savory breakfast rolled up in a grilled tortilla. Plus, you can choose your protein—I’m personally looking forward to going back and try it Del Mar-style with shrimp and with chorizo.
The Breakfast Nachos are considered a #BFD (Big Freakin’ Deal) at The Bevvy (it said so on the menu). And I concur as this was my favorite overall. Served with a side of chorizo gravy that I wanted to smother over the whole platter, this dish is easily shareable if you really wanted to.
If you are craving something sweet, the standard French Toast is offered with a side of Applewood smoked bacon and My Mom’s Homemade Parfait with rolled oats, nuts, vanilla yogurt, and fresh fruit is something I would love to try on a return visit.
Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. For a calmer brunch experience like the one I had, I would recommend going as early as they open. I can imagine seating becomes limited as the day goes on, especially if there is a game or event. And if you cannot make it to brunch, Bevvy is open for lunch, dinner and happy hour throughout the week with events like Bad Bingo hosted by a local comedian.
