You might not guess it but the guys in the back of the house, preparing your food at Central Bistro are a riot. You can tell how well they work together by the amazing food they send out to you.We started with the most spectacular mojitos, designated driver or carrying child, they are perfect without any alcohol. Don’t get me started on the drunk break! I may be pregnant and totally into carbs but this hunk of bread drenched in cheese will make your night. And that handmade burrata with fried brussels sprouts and chile sauce were the best brussels I’ve had in a while and that’s saying something, since I eat them all the time. I was told this was a happy accident, one I wish I could eat every week.Pasta and pizza up next my friends. new to the menu is the CB All’Amatriciana with bucatini, house made guanciale, caramelized tomato sauce and pecorino crema.. My date filled his pizza craving with a chicken pesto pizza covered in mozz and topped with fresh arugula. For our main course I tried the new hard cider glazed pork shank. We’re talking meat falling off the bone with a nice sweet flavor and some swiss chard and canneli bean ragout to round it out. My husband went for the perfectly cooked center cut filet of beef. Don’t miss out on dessert the new banana bread topped with dates and ice cream will blow your mind and the chocolate peanut butter mousse bomb. Just order both, like we did!
Also new to the menu:
Wild Mushroom Risotto with truffle and herbs
Tuna Sashimi Salad with chopped greens, pickled vegetables, cilantro, mint and Asian pear
Grilled Octopus Fusilli with Uni Butter
