I’m one of those people that will try just about anything. So going to Chef Binkley’s pig’s head dinner was a no brainer (and yes, I did try brain). This is an annual event that he does and it tends to sell out because people love Chef Binkley and his food. Let me give you a quick run through of how things went and then you can feast with your eyes. We started the meal with doughy biscuits and fresh butter and ordered our fancy drinks. I got the mule filled with non alcoholic deliciousness and my partner in crime got the sangria. We were happy and ready to head over to the Chef and start our journey through the pig’s head. Not only does he serve you any part of the head you might desire to try but you also have plenty of sides and desserts to eat as well. We tried everything from the brain, to the snout, the temple, the ear and this little spectacular piece behind the eye called the oyster. Because when Chef Binkley tells you to try something, you do it! And when you’re friend tells you to man up and try mussels for the first time, you also do it! What was I thinking all these years denying my taste buds? Mussels are amazing and Binkley’s mussles are in a flavorful curry and I couldn’t stop eating them. Also, those sweetbreads….soooooo good. If you haven’t checked out one of his restaurants yet, you are seriously missing out and there’s no excuse for it. So head on over there and tell them azfoodie sent you!
