Sam Fox has done it again with his biggest project yet, The Yard Tempe, which will debut on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in the Farmer Arts District with the opening of soulful gastro-pub, Culinary Dropout. The uber-hip restaurant and bar will join entertainment-based fitness/café/retail concept, The Madison, and will neighbor two premiere private dining and event spaces and a popular breakfast spot, Over Easy, which is set to open by year’s end, along with The Showcase Room.“We’re excited to partner with other like-minded local businesses with the same passion and excitement for revitalizing the Farmer Arts District,” said Over Easy owner and Executive Chef Aaron May, who owns several other Arizona restaurants including The Lodge in Scottsdale, Ariz. and Taverne in Flagstaff, Ariz. For one-of-a-kind event and celebration spaces, The Yard Tempe will be home to two unique private event spaces: The Showcase Room and The Coop. With retractable walls and seating for up to 250 guests, The Showcase Room, an ultra cool banquet hall, can be customized for any event, large or small, complete with tailor-made menus to fit any occasion. For smaller gatherings, The Coop can hold up to 86 guests and has its own old-world bar and private seating. Bookings for both private event spaces will begin early 2015.The Madison, became the first Yard tenant to open its doors to Tempe residents and visitors in early October. The spin and yoga studio first opened in Phoenix in October 2012 and quickly became famed for its “#PartyOnABike®” spin classes, which combine funkadelic lights and invigorating music with a high-intensity bike workout.
We will be checking the new spot out this weekend and can’t wait to let you know what we think but we’re pretty sure we’re going to love it!
