Experience the Sparkling Sounds of Summer Event at Eddie V’s Scottsdale. From July 18 through August 28, 2016, the luxury dining destination will celebrate iconic music genres, including Jazz, R&B, and American Standards, featuring live performances paired with a sparkling and shareable Lounge menu. Eddie V’s Scottsdale invites guests to enjoy five brand-new sparkling cocktails for $10 each, along with an array of champagnes and sparkling wines available by the glass, and select champagnes by the bottle. The cocktail arrangement is accompanied by a Seasonal Tastes Menu offering five shareable culinary creations for $6 each.
You can bet your bottom dollar that I went to visit Petros and tried all five of those Chef teasers. We, of course, ate some other menu items and made sure we had room for that butter cake. I LOVE THAT BUTTER CAKE. But let’s get into this limited time event that they have going on right now. With the live music playing in the background, my guest and I settled into our booth with Petros guiding us through the menu again. The new cocktails that they offer are the Lemon Verbena, Sparkling Ruby, Blackberry Julep, Cucumber gin and Tonic and the Bee-jito. Any of these would pair perfectly with the small bites offered.
I absolutely loved the heirloom tomato tartare, not something I would typically order but the favorite for me. It was so light and refreshing with an array of vine ripened heirloom tomatoes drizzled with white balsamic vinegar and herbs. I also enjoyed the light ahi tuna crudo with thinly sliced ahi tuna, sriracha aioli and toasted sesame. A slightly heavier bite but equally as good were the salt and pepper shrimp, batter and wok-seared with a spicy sweet soy ginger sauce and vegetable. You could also try the steak tataki, which is seared beef tenderloin, soba shiitakes with a light soy broth or the Eddie’s Oysters, broiled oysters with spinach and artichoke fondue and panko crumbs.
