Up today for your Friday Foodie Inspiration is a bit of a Mediterranean meal with Olus Falafel, Doctor Hummus tzatziki and Yasmine hummus. You know these are all local products and you won’t need to do any cooking, other than heating up the falafel, to make this simple and hearty dinner or lunch this weekend.
All I did for dinner was grab some pitas and top them with Olus falafel and tzatziki. You could grab pita chips too or just use the pitas to dip into the Yasmin hummus, can you ever eat enough pita and hummus? Olus falafel, in case you didn’t know, is located out in Glendale and they provide these bite sized goodies frozen to Whole Foods Market for your dining pleasure. Doctor Hummus smashes their beans and makes their products down in Tempe and their hummus is made tahini free We however, picked up some of their delicious tzatziki to go onto our pitas.
You may remember me talking about Fresh Select a couple weeks ago when I was enjoying my chips and salsa on a Friday night. They also do Yasmine hummus, lots of hummus flavors and we don’t find it necessary to try any other brand. From original to roasted red pepper to zesty jalapeno, they have us covered with our hummus cravings. Fresh Select was Co-Founded by Louise D’Onofrio and Alex Chammas back in 2010 in Phoenix, AZ and has been going strong ever since.
So hurry over to Whole Foods Market in Paradise Valley or wherever your nearest Whole Foods Market is, support some local companies and enjoy an easy and delicious meal. Have a local product you’d like me to give a shout out too? Email me at arizonafoodie @ outlook dot com
