I’m not sure if you have ever set foot in the Wrigley Mansion but the view of the city from the mansion balcony is worth the trip. Might as well add a few drinks and some bites to the evening too. Jamie’s Wine Bar recently opened up in the space that use to be the mansion’s library. Can I tell you how amazing the remodel of that space is? They went from an old library to a young, hip, charming, sultry place that you want to spend hours sipping wine and laughing with friends. The space is popping with specks of blue, which we hear is Jamie’s favorite color, and well stocked with rare and eclectic wines that you can purchase by the glass. The booths are comfortable and the bar is great for chatting with the bartenders, who are quite knowledgeable and will help you find that perfect glass of wine.
This is a space I could imagine you unwinding at after a long day of work by yourself or with a friend/loved one. It’s also great for a before dinner drink, maybe happy hour or even that nightcap. I guess what I’m trying to say is, it’s pretty versatile. Just don’t forget that the Wrigley Mansion is a private club and membership is required but it’s well worth it. If you get the annual wine membership for $75, you get significant savings on bottles of wine from their award winning, extensive list and invites to special wine member events, plus dining at either space is included. When you’re ready to nosh, you can order items from Jamie’s Wine Bar menu. They have the likes of caviar, lamb sliders, brushcetta, pizzas and more. And if you’re lucky, you can text Chef Gross and he’ll meet you up there for a drink! I kid but really, he’ll probably meet you up there 🙂
Thanks Chef for hanging out with us and being a gracious host for the evening. The stories Chef Gross has and the pictures to go with, are hilarious! I wish that I could share some with you but I’m pretty sure I don’t have permission.
