Kelly’s at Southbridge releases new Fall menu items just in time for patio weather. because as excited as we are the cooler weather (finally!), we’re even more excited to dine on their patio and actually enjoy it. That’s not to say they don’t have an awesome indoor dining experience as well, because they do, in fact they even have private rooms and can accommodate up to 300 people, did someone say Holiday Party? Anyway, Back to the menu items and the point of this post…
On our recent visit, we tried the Goat Cheese Bruschetta with Creamy Goat Cheese and Sun Dried Tomato which was a wonderful creamy spread over crispy bruschetta toast and the sun dried tomatoes gave a sweet and savory combination to the appetizer. The board was definitely share worthy and pairs perfectly with their wine selections.
and we tried the Steak Cobb Salad featuring a generous portion of Grilled Steak and Bacon over Romaine Lettuce with Egg, sliced Avocado, diced Tomato, Bleu Cheese Crumbles and Peppercorn Ranch. We like the sturdiness of this salad, with the steak and bacon it was not a small dainty salad by any means, in fact we’d describe it as more of a steak entree served over salad.
We also wanted to try their Organic Mixed Greens Salad (with Grilled Chicken, Fresh Strawberries, Goat Cheese, Hazelnuts with Honey Balsamic dressing). The funny thing is we normally aren’t all that into salads, but this crisp fall weather had us searching for something crisp and refreshing. We loved the touch of hazelnuts, not something very common (and in our opinion totally under used). But we don’t want to make it seem like all they have are salads, because they don’t – they have a full menu with burgers and entrees. And, this Fall they’ve also added:
The Pepperjack Burger topped with the Pepperjack (obviously- it is named after the cheese after all), Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomato and Mayo.
A Pan Roasted Salmon served with Broccolini, Red Potatoes, Fresh Lemon, Mustard Seed and topped with Capers
A classic Grilled Filet Mignon, served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Broccolini and savory Garlic Herb Butter.
Their new Spicy, 6th Ave. Chicken Sandwich topped with Guacamole, Swiss, and Jalepeno.
Of course, there’s a few of their other noteworthy regular menu items as well, like the Bourbon Egg Burger, combining Pancetta, topped with a Fried Egg, Onion Ring, Bourbon BBQ Sauce. Oh, and don’t worry they’ve got vegetarian options as well – simply request the Vegetarian Option featuring a grilled Portobello Mushroom instead of their Four-Cut Blend.
And we love their Social Hour; 3 to 7 p.m. everyday and all day Sunday which features half price Bottles of Wine, Bottles of Champagne, Bruschetta and $4 Drafts, House Wines, Well Drinks not to mention the $4 Off Signature Cocktails which also change seasonally, and $4 off Starters.
Next time you’re in old town Scottsdale, stop by and grab something to eat our drink and let us know what you think!
