The date has finally been released and Chef Scott Conant’s newest restaurant, Mora Italian, will open in Phoenix on Feb. 3rd. You many know Conant from his TV appearances on Chopped or you might have heard about his successful restaurants in NY, Miami or Las Vegas. What you really need to know, is that Scott Conant is a Chef and a good one at that. Central Phoenix is lucky to now have a spot to grab good, hearty Italian food. When I was dining inside the restaurant, one thing that struck me was the vibe and the atmosphere because this isn’t a stuffy, fancy restaurant. This is a place that you’ll want to hang out at. You’ll want to bring family to dine here and you may want to get your pasta fix multiple times a week here. I can only speak from my own experience but eating brings me joy and I have a good suspicion that you’ll be pretty joyful after eating here as well. My suggestions to order for your first time are the Focaccia di Recco, burrata, octopus, gnudi and Guanciale. I’m going back in soon to try more pasta, so those items may change.
