One of the things I get asked on a regular basis is where you guys should go eat. I know for me, it depends on what I’m in the mood for, if I have kids with me or not, what time it is, how far I’m willing to travel or if there is a new restaurant to check out. Here’s a taste of where you could have spotted me out and about this past week and a few of the dishes I’m still thinking about.
Pita Jungle opened up on 7th St and just South of Bethany Home Rd, I’m in love with their patio and the Tikka Masala. I’ve already been back for seconds and they are a great place to eat with the kids.
The thought of Ocotillo makes my tummy rumble with hunger. I eat here probably once a week right now, brunch with the family or dinner with friends. Let me tell you about this Ocotillo chicken, it’s off the chain!
Roka Akor had me on my knees the other night when we enjoyed dinner and although we ate a lot, my favorite was the Wagyu, it literally melted in my mouth and made me wish I had the ability to savor those bites instead of inhaling them. Can you blame a girl?
Sushi Roku brought tears to my eyes with their brunch menu and their service is always impeccable. You truly missed out if you weren’t at their launch event but fear not the next brunch is on Feb. 14th. I decided to order outside of the box and get this fried rice with pork belly and a poached egg on top, I wish I could have it again this weekend.
I could never skip dessert and why would you want to when you could enjoy this butter cake from Village Tavern? The center was warm and gooey, the ice cream helped cool things down and the fresh fruits made me feel a little less bad about wanting to consume the entire thing. I heart you butter cake!
