Nook Kitchen is excited to announce the opening of the restaurant’s much-anticipated second location inside the Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown.
Located at 15 E. Monroe Street, Nook’s swanky new Downtown Phoenix location serves as the anchor restaurant to the newly restored hotel that opened in December 2015, and was originally constructed as the Professional Building in 1931. Serving as one of the city’s best examples of beautifully preserved Art Deco architecture and design, the building’s lobby has been completely restored to its original artistry and updated with modern amenities.
Taking cues from its hotel counterpart, Nook’s dining room also incorporates several restored pieces from the original building, and boasts intricately renovated Art Deco columns combined with contemporary touches, including expansive 19-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, tufted banquets, an impressive octagon-shaped marble bar, and gorgeous wine tower housing more than 1,100 boutique selections.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Nook Kitchen to the Downtown Phoenix market and are looking forward to contributing to the growth of the neighborhood,” said Nook’s owner, Frank Vairo. “We’ve worked extremely hard to construct a space with our Downtown guests in mind. We’ve added built-in phone chargers and power outlets below the bar for our business lunchers, and created a dining room that embodies the Downtown Phoenix movement. It’s comfortable, but upscale – hip but not pretentious. It’s a place where you’ll want to spend a few hours either before or after an event. Above all, it’s a place with good food, good cocktails, and really good people.”
Nook’s original Arcadia location quickly became a foodie favorite, gaining a following for its handmade pizzas and craft cocktails, even earning the top spot on USA Today’s list of “10 Best Phoenix Restaurants in Arcadia.” The kitchen, helmed by co-owner and Chef Nick LaRosa, produces fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients like house-pulled mozzarella and homemade Pomodoro, and the Downtown menu will offer delicious new items like Polpettine, Shrimp Fra Diavolo and Braised Lamb Shank. Like the Arcadia location, a custom-made Italian Forno Bravo bakes some of the Valley’s best Neapolitan-style pizzas and adds to the flavor of the house made bread. The menu will continue to offer innovative bruschettas and creative takes on classic entrees like chicken Marsala and pasta Bolognese.
Nook Kitchen also provides food to-order for all 170 rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown.
Nook Kitchen Downtown is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
