Since I started Arizona Foodie, I really wanted to bring foodies together, to share our food experiences, to eat together, to meet the people behind the food and more importantly, to help grow the food scene here. You may remember my AZFoodie VIP Happy Hours, that was my first attempt at creating an experience for you guys to try a restaurant out, meet each other and for us to have fun. However, it wasn’t exactly how envisioned the events – these new pop-up events, this is how I envision the experience.
I am beyond thrilled to finally launch this idea that I had put on hold while I was pregnant. It’s finally time to create a new kind of event, one where you guys get to come enjoy a once in a life time meal. These meals are at undisclosed locations, with one of the many amazing local Chefs around town. We leave it up to the Chef to create the menu, so it’s not going to be something you’ll find in their restaurant. They will be preparing the meal right there, in front of you. The whole point of these events is to give you a unique experience with the Chef. If you want to stand right next to them and ask questions about how they just made that, you can! You get to talk to them, hear their stories, ask them questions, learn how to prepare the meal their making, eat with them, enjoy an amazing multi course meal, mingle with new friends, sip on drinks and more. This is what Arizona Foodie is about, those are the warm and fuzzies I want you to get to feel. Let’s get the Chefs out from behind the wall and in front of you, making you and your friends a meal like you’ve never tasted before.
No two events will be alike because there will always be a new group of people, the setting will change and the menu will at the discretion of the Chef. This is all about bringing community around the table and bringing good food back into your life. Where else can you get an experience like this?
Can you tell how passionate I am? I hope so, I’m so passionate it bubbles out of me every time I talk about the events. And today tickets go on sale for the first Pop-Up Demo: Holiday Dinner Like A Chef with Chef Aaron Chamberlain. On Dec. 5th and 6th, Chef Chamberlain from St. Francis and Phoenix Public Market Cafe will be teaching you how to create your upcoming holiday dinner like he would. First we’ll greet you with drinks (probably champagne because it’s an exciting situation) and hors D’oeuvres, while we wait for everyone to arrive and we’ll mix and mingle and get settled. Then Chef will begin cooking up the meal and as all the amazing smells fill your nostrils and tempt your belly, he’ll share his stories and his secrets on how to create a stress free holiday meal with a full menu including fresh local turkey, gravy, sides and let’s not forget to save room for dessert.
After the meal is prepared and all your questions have been answered, we’ll head into the dining area to eat, drink and laugh. The event is being held over two days since each event can only accommodate 20 people. The first event will be Dec. 5th from 4 to 7pm the following day Dec. 6th the event will be held from noon to 3pm. Same menu, same Chef, same location, just different people.
