As the weather warms up, RA Sushi has rolled out a new summer menu, available for a limited time. The fresh, summer selections feature nine different sushi, salad and cocktail offerings that feature cool, light flavors ideal for sweltering summer days. These menu items will be available at all five Valley RA Sushi locations from May through August.We got to check out the menu last week and it was some good eats! We started with Langostino Strawberry Salad ($12). Arugula is tossed with langostino, strawberries, cucumber, avocado, and a citrus vinaigrette, then garnished with a tangy kiwi wasabi sauce and truffle salt. I enjoyed how light and refreshing it was, perfect summer flavors and a way to feel full but not too stuffed on a summer day. Same with the Red Seabream Carpaccio ($11), that we had, which features thinly sliced Red Seabream, topped with finely sliced lemon, spicy yuzu dressing, organic micro greens, truffle salt and a touch of lemon zest.The Red Seabream Nigiri ($4.50) was is a nice addition to the menu with two pieces of delectable Red Seabream over rice, drizzled with spicy yuzu dressing and sprinkled with truffle salt. And I thoroughly enjoyed the Tuna California Roll ($9). It’s a classic California Roll topped with a spicy tuna mix of avocado, cucumber, bell pepper and cilantro, finished with togarashi, garlic chips and black pepper soy sauce.There were a few new drinks on the menu, the favorite being the Hot Tropics Margarita ($8.50). It’s made with Tanteo Tropical Tequila and Combier Liqueur d’Orange are shaken with mango purée, lime juice and agave nectar and served with a chili-salted rim, a little bit of sweet, a little bit of spicy. Two other drinks added for the summer are the Peach Basil Sour and the Pear and Lemon Blossom.Don’t forget dessert, although not new to the menu, always perfect to end the meal with is the fried ice cream!
