Sauce Pizza & Wine has just unveiled fresh and savory new menu items, just in time for spring! In addition to the Italian eatery’s mainstay favorites, the menu at Sauce now features an Italian Chopped Salad with pepperoni, salami, smoked mozzarella, pepperoncini, Kalamata olives, yellow tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, red onions, and toasted garlic vinaigrette. They also have some bruschetta and we loved the Meatball Bruschetta with smoked mozzarella, basil and red sauce.
Not new but still one of my favorites is the winter roasted vegetable salad and I also tried their other salad the quinoa, beet and arugula salad and I have to say that I’m a fan of all three of these salads now. I don’t typically go out to a restaurant for a salad but I have been known to go out for the winter roasted veggie and now probably these as well.
We ate the pastas too because, why not. The mac & cheese is a staple and we know why, three girls came in before us and ordered this dish by itself. We also had the pasta and meatballs, our baby is quite the fan of the meatballs. Which happened to be on the bruschetta and on the new Lasagna Pie.
Another new menu item, the lasagna pie made with spinach, mushrooms, ricotta, meatballs and fresh garlic, this was my husband’s favorite pizza out of the four that we tried. While I did love the lasagna pie, I am still a huge fan of the rosemary potato pizza.
I know it sounds like we ate a lot but I paced myself in preparation for their new dessert Pizza Cookie; half-baked triple chocolate chip cookie dough topped with a heaping scoop of Grateful Spoon Gelato, we opted for the mint chocolate chunk. We finished this baby off!
Sauce’s beer and wine menu also has a case of spring fever with a new selection of beer and unique wine options, like the Underwood Rosé, a 357 ml canned wine and the One Hope* Cabernet Sauvignon (*50% of profits help children with autism).
