If you love comfort food, Social Box is your place to stop next time you are in the Chandler area. It offers a unique take on traditional foods. Let’s get started!
They first brought out a few of their favorite appetizers. The opening appetizer was their Chef’s Select Meat and Cheese Plate. Their cheese was outstanding and perfectly salty and tangy. I loved grabbing from each plate and then spreading some of their marmalade on it to top it off!
Next up for appetizers was their Pretzel and Pickle Plate Fresh Pretzels. These pretzels were perfect. Salty and crusty, and dipped in their signature sauces was out of this world. I was ready to sit in front of a football game and eat these all day! One sauce was their Sobo Beer Mustard and the other was their Sobo Cheese Sauce which had a nice kick to it!
Third in line was their Bruschetta. Their balsamic reduction was on point. Nice and thick and sweet. They also served a pineapple green chili marmalade with prosciutto and fresh cilantro. Yum! I am a huge fan of bruschetta’s and both were nicely done.
I guess they served the best for the last on their appetizers. These Short Rib Sliders were by far my favorite from the night. the ribs were tender and flavorful. They have a horsey sauce that is spread at the bottom of each slider, and it was heavenly!
At Social Box, they have Wood Fired Artisan Pies. They served us two of their picks, which started with their Chicken and Rosemary Potato Pie. I have never had potatoes on a pizza, and I enjoyed every bite of this! The bacon and rosemary added the perfect touch to this pie.
Next they served us their traditional House Margherita and they didn’t disappoint. It was tasty and delightful!
After we were filled with pizza, the food just kept coming! Next was their Artichoke Stuffed Chicken. The chicken was moist and tender and was stuffed with delicious house artichoke mix. They paired this with their garlic mashed potatoes.
Now come on, who isn’t a fan of mac n cheese!? This bowl of mac n cheese was comfort food at it’s finest. They use fresh cheddar and pepper jack cheese, to create a creamy, spicy- out of this world dish! I could go for a second bowl right about now!
For dessert, they served us 4 of their Cotton Candy Towers. They were literally the tallest cotton candy I have ever seen, standing 3 feet tall. Their flavors were bold and sweet. My favorite was their green apple and banana. Bring the family, because I know the cotton candy will be all the kids talk about!
