Hi, I’m Diana but most of you know me as Arizona Foodie. In some cases, I no longer even introduce myself as Diana, I introduce myself as Arizona Foodie. I just want to put this out there first, in case I lose your interest in this blog, I love that you guys follow me, that you use me as a guide to find new restaurants and to try new dishes. I love that you guys introduce yourself to me when you see me at restaurants or events, please keep doing that 🙂
But I want to be honest with you and there may be some of you that already know this about me anyway but I’m going to put it out there. I know that I may have a few more followers than some and I may eat out a bit more than most but I’m just like you. I LOVE food and I LOVE the people that make the food, that have the passion and dedication to start a restaurant or food truck or coffee spot or whatever it might be. I LOVE that they break through that fear and all those obstacles to share their art with us and I want nothing more than to share it with you.
Sometimes I see comments, not many but maybe some of you think it and don’t write it, but comments about places that I go to or stuff that I eat and you seem disappointed. It’s at this point that I want to reiterate that I’m just like you, I don’t discriminate against food. Arizona Foodie doesn’t follow a mold of “only these kinds of places can be posted on my feed” or “I will only ever eat at these types of restaurants.” I don’t eat that way, my tastebuds bring me all over. I will never tell you that I hate something even if I don’t care for it (this may shock you and I’ll explain later), I will never complain about customer service, I will never talk bad about a restaurant or use my platform to bash because that’s not why I started it (Believe me, there have been times I wanted to because I’m pissed but that’s not what Arizona Foodie should be about). However, if I love something, you will know. You might not agree with some of the pictures that I post and that’s ok. But can we agree on one thing? Sometimes there is food that you love that I might not like one bit and there might be food that I love, that you want to roll your eyes at. That’s the beauty of Arizona Foodie, I want to share it all with you and I want you to form your own opinions about it. We all have such different tastes and we are always going to. I’m no food critic, I’m a food lover, I’m a professional food eater.
I envision Arizona Foodie continuing to be a place where you guys can discover new eats and rediscover old favorites or maybe see a new dish at an old favorite that piques your interest. And I want to help support our food scene and the passionate people behind it. I’m always open to new suggestions and helpful criticism. So please, if you ever need a recommendation or have one for me or if you ever want to chat about food or sit down for a meal, my email is always pinging to my phone and I’m all ears. Until then, I’m going to keep trying to create amazing and unique food events and try out fun angles on the blog and I’ll keep eating for you guys, it’s a tough job but somebody’s got to gain the weight doing it. xoxoxo my fellow foodies
