We adore Chef Christopher Collins and have raved about Grassroots, so you can imagine how excited we are to see that Twisted Root Parlor + Bar is opening up on March 1st!! The newest restaurant concept from Common Ground Culinary, a restaurant development company founded by Christopher Collins stands as the cool millennial in the family – balanced, casual, and likes to hang out all day. Located at the NW corner of Hayden Road and Via de Ventura, Twisted Root joins it’s culinary sibling Grassroots inside the Village at Hayden shopping center (8220 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale AZ 85258, 480.699.8011).
The menu, designed for everyday affordability, runs the American culinary gamut with modern takes on classics. “We wanted Twisted Root to be the dependable, staple spot in your mental rolodex, the sort of place you can visit several times a week and always find something fun to eat or drink,” says owner, Christopher Collins. At Twisted Root, this means sharable small plates such as $9 pepper-glazed goat cheese, served gratin style with spicy tomato jam, peppadew peppers and buttermilk crackers, the signature $11 Twisted oysters, which are broiled and paired with creamed spinach and béarnaise sauce, or build-your-own bruschetta boards. Dig into five different sandwiches such as the $12 Topher’s tri tip, shaved thin and topped with melty gruyere and steak aioli, or fork a farm-fresh salad such as the ‘deconstructed’ $12 Sunny cobb, perked up with crispy pancetta and toasted pecans. Finally, for heartier appetites Twisted offers five varieties of stone oven flatbread, including the $11 angry bird (goat cheese, pulled chicken, sweet corn, angry sauce, basil) and nine delicious entrées such as $18 airline chicken & proscuitto with skin-on breast, Borsin cheese, basil, jus redux and glazed baby carrots. Perhaps best of all, the restaurant will feature a special Twisted Hour menu featuring food & drink specials daily from 3 – 6 pm daily.
You go Chef!!
