We Olive and Wine Bar has opened its first location in Avondale and the grand opening celebration is scheduled for March 18th to the 20th. They’ll be celebrating all weekend long with festivities including giveaways, beer and cheese tastings, food pairing events, bubbles and bites, live music and so much more! It’s definitely worth heading over to their location and checking out. For all the weekend event details go here: http://weolive.com/avondale/news/grand-opening/
We Olive and Wine Bar is being run by husband and wife team Vaughn and Karen Watson. Karen has always wanted to run a business and with the support of Vaughn her dream is finally coming true. They are excited to bring We Olive and Wine Bar to Arizona and share their passion for healthy living with their community. We Olive and Wine Bar is about certified extra virgin olive oil from California. The company was founded in Paso Robles in 2003 with the goal of promoting the local artisan growers in the region. On top of that they believe olive oil education is something that should be passed down to the consumer. Guests visiting the store can taste different styles of EVOO, much like you might go to a wine tasting, and then you learn what makes a true extra virgin olive oil, how to pair or cook with an olive oil, and determine what styles you really enjoy (delicate, medium or robust). Their olive oils are available bottled from small growers, or straight from a fustino into the bottle of your choosing. They also carry several fantastic balsamic vinegars, tapenades, mustards, pestos, spreads, and olives. All of their gourmet foods are available to taste in the store, so you can try anything before you buy it!
We Olive decided to add the wine bar concept in 2010 because olive oil, food, and wine are a natural marriage. Their wine program features smaller production domestic wines and all wines are available to purchase by the taste, the half glass, glass and bottle. Bottles are also available for retail purchase. Their wine bar menu is designed to inspire you to cook at home. All of their offerings, which consist of small plates, panini, salads, and flatbreads feature We Olive olive oils, vinegars or other products available for retail purchase. In many cases, recipes to replicate their dishes at home are available to you. Here’s a link to their wine & beer list and food menu.
So if you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, head over to We Olive and Wine Bar. Enjoy tasting some olive oils and hang out at the wine bar for some sips and bites. Welcome to the Avondale neighborhood! Thanks to We Olive and Wine Bar for sponsoring this post!
